The close-knit community of Wellspring Church and countless others across the country are mourning the devastating loss of John Stull, a beloved young man and college student in New Mexico who tragically passed away after suffering critical injuries in a car accident on May 3, 2025.
John was one of four passengers involved in a single-vehicle crash that evening. While the other passengers reportedly sustained no or only minor injuries, John’s condition was immediately dire. He was airlifted to a trauma center in El Paso, Texas, where he remained in critical condition for several days as his family, friends, and faith community prayed for a miracle.
John was the youngest son of Pastor Chris and Brenna Stull, widely respected leaders at Wellspring Church. Known for his kind heart, deep faith, and bright future, John touched many lives both in his church and on his college campus. As word of the accident spread, an outpouring of love and support flooded in, with prayer chains forming around the country.
In the days following the accident, John’s loved ones clung to hope, fervently praying for healing—particularly for his severe brain injuries. The family shared their unwavering trust in God’s plan, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming care they received during such a dark and uncertain time.
